With the digitisation of everything, rising surveillance capitalism and digital platforms, a rapidly changing landscape, increasing cyber threats and intensive national security monitoring and large intelligence gathering activities, organisational boards worldwide have moved beyond seeing privacy as just a compliance line item. This session will cover: Why privacy governance is a top line strategic and compliance issue for boards, the framework for boards to lead and direct privacy governance in their organisation, a panel discussion around the board's role and actions and what happens when it all goes wrong such as a major data breach.
