A virtual workshop hosted by the International Association of Privacy Professionals with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
September 22-24, 2020
Act Now — Seats Still Available for Opening and Closing Plenary Sessions.
Sorry, Working Sessions are Full.
This is an opportunity for privacy professionals and those in legal, tech, security, data science, engineering, product development, human resources, design, and marketing disciplines to collaborate with the IAPP and NIST.
Join the privacy industry’s most comprehensive resource of information and best practices and one of America’s leading-edge nonregulatory federal agencies as they seek to create a workforce taxonomy and definitive guide for developing privacy programs from the ground up, aligned with the NIST Privacy Framework.
What does it mean to have a workforce capable of managing privacy risk? Some personnel in organizations may not consider themselves to be “privacy professionals,” but can still have a role to play in managing privacy risk. What does the person in each role do, and what do they need to know to do it?
The information and ideas will inform resources to help organizations understand who to hire, what those new hires should focus on, and how to train them effectively to mitigate privacy risk across the organization. As a workshop participant, you can benchmark your own privacy program in the process.
Why you need to attend:
- Contribute your experience toward building the workforce taxonomy.
- Share feedback and ideas during interactive breakout sessions led by NIST.
- Gain access to leading privacy professionals.
- Benchmark your privacy risk management with peers in an “intimate” virtual working group.
- Get your questions answered in real-time by privacy and technology experts.
- Holders of the IAPP CIPM and/or CIPT certification may qualify for 7.5 continuing privacy education credits.
- It’s free!
