Spotlight on Advertising and Marketing

In recent months, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) has published new guidance on direct marketing, updated guidance for businesses using "refer-a-friend" marketing schemes and taken enforcement action against a number of companies for breaching marketing rules. Join the Bristol chapter for a meeting where the speakers will discuss the following questions and provide practical tips for businesses when launching advertising and marketing campaigns:

  • What are the key points privacy practitioners should know when launching marketing and advertising campaigns?
  • The in-house DPO experience: how can businesses achieve their objectives with advertising and marketing while effectively managing risk?
  • Effective consent management: how can technology help achieve compliance?
  • In-person attendees are welcome to join the chapter chairs and speakers for networking over drinks at Foot Anstey offices
