As most privacy professionals know by now, the GDPR will come into force May 25, 2018. The list of data governance issues to be tackled is large, with many new requirements for anyone doing business with EU citizens. Many organizations, in fact, will have to appoint a data protection officer, with specific tasks and responsibilities. Given these new demands, we’ve arranged for DPOs and privacy leaders who run some of the world’s leading privacy programs at organizations in the EU and around the globe to share their thoughts and insights with you about how to prepare for the coming obligations. For this, our last edition of the series, we'll be chatting with Rita Heimes, CIPP/US, CIPM, the IAPP's own DPO. Join us and hear about her job and its responsibilities, and what it's like to be charged with data protection for a small organization.

We'll provide ample time for your questions, which you can ask in real time or submit prior to the program at: askthedpo@iapp.org
